“Support” is a word most valuable to a missionary. Not only does it put bread on the table, it keeps spiritual food coming in, too. We are trying to avoid the word “Fund-Raising” and would prefer “Friend-Raising” because only those who have become a missionary’s friend and understand the focus of her ministry will want to then “fund” it. “Friends” first of all want to pray. On this website, the Partnership Network page has two sections: prayer requests and how prayer requests have been answered. Please check these out. There are several options for tangible support. Please choose the way that best fits you or contact International Ministries at 610-768-2324 (Lisa Schnovel). Gifts toward Roberta’s support will contribute toward her MPT- Target Goal. The MPT Target Goal includes Living Allowance (Salary), Retirement (MMBB & FICA) and Medical Insurance.

Standard Ways of Giving
Sometimes the terms used below are confusing (and may be changed in the future for clarity). Below are different types of giving, depending on whether you want to give it through an American Baptist Church or not.

• For members of an American Baptist church
  World Mission Offering is primarily taken in the fall. The World Mission Offering under girds all of International Ministries, including Roberta and 120 other missionary colleagues. However you can give through the World Mission Offering at anytime during the year! If you would like part of your World Mission Offering to go toward Roberta’s support, write “Directed Gift- Roberta Stephens” or “Ongoing Support- Roberta” on the memo line and give it to your church.

  2. Your name will not be shared with Roberta. Your church’s name and the gift amount will be shared with Roberta
• Other Options
  Specifics. These are additional ministry gifts which a missionary uses in their day to day ministry on their field of service.

  Transmission Gifts. These are personal gifts for a missionary of $50 or less. Transmission gifts can be sent for birthdays and holidays.
